The victim was Celia Barquin Arozamena, and she suffered several stab wounds to the upper torso, head and neck. Collin Daniel Richards is charged with first-degree murder in Barquin Arozamena’s death. The police was responded at 10:24 am when a bag was found without an owner, and found her dead body further away on the morning of September 19, at Coldwater links golf course at Ames, IA. The police are still not sure what his motives are at this time. This story is prominence because she was the 2018 student female athlete of the year at Iowa State and is a well known and a loved person. This was also proximity because it happened in Ames Iowa which is nearby Des Moines IA and effects people close by, and even brings some type of fear or concern of safety. For such a tragedy to happen close by is effective and feeling for such an athlete who would go far in life, its a shame to be cut short.
